Casting & Manufacturing Process
- 3D Scan & Reverse Engineering — FARO arm captures internal volute/diffuser profile, flange bolt pattern, register fits, and wall thickness distribution from existing casing
- Pattern Development — CNC-machined pattern, core boxes, and gating system designed with shrinkage and draft allowances for the chosen casting method
- Molding & Core Assembly — Resin sand or V-process mold with internal cores defining the volute flow passage; core position verified before closing
- Melting & Pouring — Induction furnace charge with spectrographic chemistry verification; pour temperature and rate controlled for defect prevention
- Shakeout & Cleaning — Casting cooled, shaken out from mold, and cleaned with shot blasting or grinding
- Heat Treatment — Stress relief (cast iron), normalizing + temper (steel), or solution anneal (SS) per material specification
- CNC Machining — Flange faces, bore diameters, register fits, bolt holes, and gasket grooves machined
- Hydrostatic Pressure Test — Casing pressurized to 1.5× working pressure; hold time per API or customer specification
- Final Surface Treatment & Dispatch — Internal lining (epoxy/rubber/polyurethane), external prime + topcoat, packing for sea freight
Quality Inspection
- Hydrostatic Test — 1.5× maximum working pressure; 30-minute hold with no leakage or visible deformation
- 3D CMM Verification — Volute profile, flange dimensions, register bore position, bolt pattern, and wall thickness checked against scanned model
- NDT — Radiographic examination for internal soundness (pressure-containing sections); ultrasonic wall thickness mapping; magnetic particle or dye penetrant for surface defects at machined sealing faces
- Material Certification — Chemical composition report and mechanical test results from production coupons; heat treatment records
- Hardness Testing — Brinell on machined surfaces confirms material grade and heat treatment quality

How to Order
- Pump Model & Serial Number — Quickest route to correct casing specification
- Or Provide Sample Casing — Ship the existing casing for FARO 3D scanning; casting can be produced to match exactly
- Operating Conditions — Pressure rating, temperature, fluid type, pH, solids content
- Material & Lining — Base material per specification; internal lining requirements (epoxy, rubber, polyurethane)
- Flange Standard — ANSI 150/300/600, DIN PN10/16/25/40, or other flange drilling standard
- Delivery — 40–60 days after deposit (iron/steel); 60–80 days (SS or high-alloy)
Payment: 70% T/T deposit, balance against copy of B/L. L/C available for qualified buyers.
