Product Overview

ANDRITZ Wear Ring (also known as a casing ring, impeller ring, or side plate ring depending on the pump configuration) is a replaceable annular component installed at the running clearance interface between the rotating impeller and the stationary pump casing. Its primary function is to create a controlled close clearance that minimizes internal recirculation of pressurized fluid from the discharge region back to the suction side of the impeller.

As the wear ring clearance increases over time due to erosion, corrosion, or mechanical wear, internal leakage grows and pump volumetric efficiency declines. Because wear rings are designed as replaceable sacrificial components, restoring the original clearance by installing new rings is a straightforward and economical way to recover pump performance without replacing the more expensive impeller or casing.

Our ANDRITZ wear rings are manufactured from selected material grades, machined to the required fit tolerance, and supplied with dimensional inspection reports.
