Dynamic Seal Service Kit is a pre-assembled set of all wearing components required to overhaul the dynamic sealing system of a centrifugal pump. Depending on the pump configuration, the kit typically includes the mechanical seal (stationary and rotating faces), secondary O-rings and gaskets for the seal chamber, the gland or seal cover gasket, shaft sleeve O-rings, and any associated retaining clips or drive pins. Some kits also include the stuffing box throat bushing and lantern ring for pumps using packed gland sealing.

Using a pre-packaged service kit rather than sourcing individual seal components separately offers three advantages: (1) guaranteed component compatibility — all parts are specified for the exact pump model and seal chamber geometry; (2) single-part-number ordering — one reference covers the entire seal system refresh; (3) reduced inventory risk — no mismatched profiles, missing gaskets, or incorrect O-ring sizes during the maintenance window.

1. Preparation — Depressurize and drain the pump. Remove the casing cover to access the seal chamber. Clean all gasket surfaces and the shaft sleeve
2. Old Seal Removal — Extract the worn rotary and stationary seal components. Inspect the seal chamber bore for wear, scoring, or corrosion — repair or replace if damaged
3. Kit Verification — Unpack the service kit and verify all components against the included manifest. Check O-ring cross-section and seal face diameter against the seal chamber and shaft dimensions
4. Seal Installation — Lubricate O-rings with compatible lubricant. Press the stationary seat into the seal chamber using a seating tool (avoid direct hammer contact). Slide the rotary unit onto the shaft sleeve. Install the gland or seal cover with new gasket
5. Final Check — Rotate the shaft by hand to confirm free movement. No binding, no seal face chatter, and correct gland bolt torque
