DONGGUAN HydroBlue CO.,LTD. serves the global fluid handling industry as a precision engineering resource for pump hydraulic components — operating on the conviction that impeller geometry is the single most influential factor in pump hydraulic performance and must be reproduced with the highest possible fidelity.
Our 8-member technical team brings together practical expertise across fluid dynamics, mechanical design and precision casting, electrical systems engineering, and metrology. This depth allows us to evaluate impeller requirements from a complete hydraulic perspective — vane profile, flow distribution, material erosion behavior, and dynamic response within the pump casing.
Research partnerships that strengthen our impeller engineering capability include:

Send us your SULZER pump model and impeller specifications — our engineering team will confirm the hydraulic profile and provide a formal quotation with material recommendation and confirmed lead time.
Through our brand we deliver end-to-end fluid machinery solutions under a single accountable partner — combining component supply, system integration, and international field services. The product scope includes pumps, frequency converters, servo drives, PLC-HMI control platforms, motor control centers, electric motors and gearboxes, mechanical seals and assemblies, couplings, and gear transmissions. For international field support, we deploy our own engineers to perform FARO 3D scanning, laser alignment, pump commissioning, and on-site debugging.
SULZER Open Impeller is a hydraulic rotating component in which the vanes are attached to a hub or back shroud, with no front shroud covering the vane tips. Unlike closed impellers where the flow channel is enclosed on both sides, the open impeller vanes are exposed on the suction side, allowing the vane tips to pass in close proximity to a stationary pump casing or side plate. This design makes the open impeller inherently tolerant of small solids and stringy materials that would clog a closed impeller.
The clearance between the open impeller vane tips and the casing wall is a critical operating parameter — typically 0.3–0.8 mm depending on pump size and service. As this clearance increases due to wear, internal recirculation (slip flow) increases and pump efficiency drops. One advantage of the open impeller is that axial adjustment of the impeller position (by shimming the bearing housing or adjusting the back cover) can restore the original clearance without replacing the impeller.
Our SULZER open impellers are produced using FARO 3D scanning for vane profile capture, CNC-machined casting patterns, and full dimensional inspection on CMM equipment. Available in multiple material grades and with surface treatments for extended wear life.
