SULZER Intermediate Chamber
About Dongguan HydroBlue Co., Ltd.
DONGGUAN HydroBlue CO.,LTD. supplies technically specified stationary and rotating pump components to industrial operators worldwide — guided by the understanding that every casting in a multi-stage pump must meet the same rigorous standards of dimensional precision, material integrity, and hydraulic accuracy as the rotating parts it houses.
Our technical team of 8 professionals integrates capabilities across hydraulic system engineering, precision machining and process metallurgy, electrical controls, and metrology. This range of expertise allows us to evaluate intermediate chamber requirements from the full perspective of the pump system — hydraulic loading, thermal expansion patterns, corrosion risk, and compatibility with adjacent stage components.
Our institutional partnerships provide access to specialized research capability:
- Jiangsu University National Research Center of Pumps — CFD simulation and impeller-diffuser interaction analysis
- Chinese Academy of Sciences — advanced coating systems for casing corrosion protection
- Guangdong University of Technology — industrial drives and smart control technology

Contact us with your SULZER multi-stage pump details — we will verify the intermediate chamber specification and provide a formal quotation with material options, coating recommendations, and delivery timeline.
OUR BRANDS & SERVICES
Through our brand we deliver complete fluid machinery solutions under single-source accountability — covering parts supply, engineering integration, and international field services. The product scope includes pumps, frequency converters, servo drives, PLC-HMI control systems, motor control cabinets, electric motors and gearboxes, mechanical seals and assemblies, couplings, and gear transmissions. For field support, our engineers deploy overseas for FARO 3D scanning, pump alignment, commissioning, and on-site equipment debugging.
Material Selection Guide
Material | Max Working Temp | Application Conditions |
|---|
GG25 Cast Iron | ≤ 150°C | Clean cold water, low-pressure stages; standard condenser and boiler feed stage chambers |
GGG40 Ductile Iron | ≤ 200°C | Higher mechanical strength than GG25; good for medium-pressure intermediate chambers |
WCB Cast Steel | ≤ 400°C | High-pressure and high-temperature stages; oil and gas process service |
SS 304 / 316 (CF8/CF8M) | ≤ 300°C | Corrosive chemical service, food-grade water, pharmaceutical applications |
Duplex SS (1.4462) | ≤ 280°C | Offshore, high-chloride, sour service (NACE MR0175) |
Why Choose Our Intermediate Chambers
- FARO 3D Reverse Engineering — Full surface scan captures diffuser profile, register diameters, bolt pattern, and seal groove geometry from an existing chamber without drawings
- Diffuser Laser Alignment — Diffuser bore position checked relative to the register pilot centerline on CMM; ensures concentricity with the next stage for uniform radial clearance
- Hydrostatic Test (1.5× WP) — Every intermediate chamber individually pressure tested with written certification
- O-Ring / Gasket Groove Precision — Groove depth, width, and surface finish verified to seal manufacturer specification; eliminates interstage leakage as a commissioning issue
- Dual Casting Capability — Investment casting for thinner SS chamber sections; resin sand casting for heavy iron or steel chambers
- Surface Protection — Internal epoxy coating for corrosion resistance; external zinc-rich primer and topcoat for atmospheric protection
QC Inspection
- 3D CMM Scan — Complete diffuser vane geometry, register bore, and bolt pattern verified to nominal model
- Hydrostatic Pressure Test — 1.5× WP held for 30 minutes minimum; no leakage or deformation accepted
- Non-Destructive Examination — Radiographic testing for internal casting soundness (investment castings); ultrasonic wall thickness mapping; magnetic particle or dye penetrant for surface defects
- Gasket Groove Inspection — Groove dimensions, surface finish, and corner radii verified per O-ring/gasket specification
- Hardness Test — Brinell on cast iron and steel; confirm per material grade
Certifications: ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2004, API Specification Q1.
How to Order
- Pump Model & Serial Number — We cross-reference to identify the stage position and original casting detail
- Stage Position — Specify which stage number in the stack requires replacement (diffuser profile may differ between stages in some pump designs)
- Material & Coating — Standard material per original spec, or request upgrade for changed service conditions
- Quotation — Formal quote with casting method, material, surface treatment, quantity, and lead time
- Production — 35–50 days after deposit (cast iron/steel); 50–70 days (stainless steel or high-alloy)
Payment: 70% T/T deposit, balance against copy of B/L. L/C for established buyers.
