Product Overview

FLYGT Volute Casing is the pressure-containing housing of a centrifugal submersible pump — the stationary component that surrounds the impeller and converts kinetic energy from the rotating impeller into pressure energy in the fluid stream. The volute's spiral-shaped channel gradually increases in cross-sectional area from the impeller discharge to the pump's discharge nozzle, efficiently directing flow toward the outlet while minimizing hydraulic losses.

As the outermost pressure boundary of the pump, the volute casing must withstand system pressure, resist erosion from solids-carrying sewage, and maintain dimensional stability at varying temperatures. Our replacement volute casings are reverse-engineered using FARO 3D laser scanning and produced through precision casting and CNC machining to ensure perfect interchangeability with FLYGT originals.

Standard materials include cast iron for standard sewage applications, and duplex stainless steel or special alloys for corrosive and high-pressure operating conditions.
