FLYGT Leakage Sensor is a precision monitoring component designed to detect the presence of liquid in the pump motor chamber of FLYGT submersible sewage pumps. When moisture penetrates the motor housing seals, the sensor triggers an alarm signal to the pump control panel, enabling early intervention before winding burnout or bearing failure occurs.

Installed as a wet-to-dry contact probe, the leakage sensor is mounted in the pump's motor chamber drain hole. It is compatible with a wide range of FLYGT submersible pump models and control systems. Our replacement sensors are reverse-engineered to exact OEM specifications for plug-and-play interchangeability, requiring no controller modification.

Sensor Type & Operating Principle

Leakage sensors for submersible pumps operate as conductivity probes detecting liquid presence in the motor chamber:

  • Conductive Probe Sensor — Two-electrode probe; liquid bridging the electrodes closes the circuit and triggers an alarm relay in the control panel
  • Capacitive Sensor — Detects changes in dielectric constant caused by liquid accumulation; suitable for detecting emulsified or low-conductivity liquids
  • Float Switch Integrated Sensor — Mechanical float type for pump wet-well level monitoring; separate from motor chamber sensors
  • Integrated Smart Sensor — Combined leakage + temperature monitoring probe; outputs digital signal (RS-485 / Modbus) for PLC integration

The most common replacement sensor is the conductive two-electrode probe, which requires no power supply — it operates on the conductivity of the liquid itself to complete the alarm circuit.

Installation & Compatibility

Replacing a FLYGT leakage sensor is straightforward:

  2. Locate Sensor — Remove the sensor from its mounting position in the motor chamber drain hole
