Material Options
Material selection is based on your fluid type, operating pressure, temperature, and corrosion or abrasion requirements. Our standard material range includes:
- Cast Iron — Standard water applications, cost-effective, suitable for municipal irrigation
- Wear-resistant Cast Iron — Abrasive fluids containing sand or silt, dredging, mining dewatering
- Cast Steel — High-pressure applications, high-temperature water
- Stainless Steel — Corrosive fluids, mild chemicals, food-processing applications
- Duplex Stainless Steel — Seawater, brackish water, highly corrosive environments
- Cast Alloy Steel — Extreme pressure and temperature, specialized applications
All materials conform to international standards including ASTM, ANSI, SAE, UNS, DIN, EN, ISO, and TOCT.
Casting Methods
We offer two primary casting methods depending on material and production volume:
- Investment Casting: Wax injection → cluster assembly → coating and sanding → dewaxing → casting → post-cleaning → heat treatment → inspection. Best for complex vane geometries and stainless steel alloys.
- Sand Casting: Sand mould making → core setting → pouring → post-cleaning → heat treatment → inspection. Suitable for large impellers and cast iron / cast steel production.
Machining & Processing
All impellers undergo precision CNC machining after casting to ensure tight tolerances on bore, hub, and sealing surfaces:
