REXNORD Coupling Hub is the shaft-mounting component of a flexible or rigid shaft coupling that transmits torque between a pump shaft and the coupling's flex element, disc pack, or gear sleeve. The hub is the interface between the rotating machine shaft and the coupling assembly — one hub mounts on the pump shaft, the other on the motor or drive shaft, and they are joined by the coupling's flex element or gear engagement.
The coupling hub is a precision-machined component characterized by its bore diameter and keyway (for keyed shaft connections), or its tapered bore and split bushing (for quick-mount applications). The hub also features the engagement surface for the specific coupling type: grid hub slots for grid spring engagement, jaw coupling hub legs for spider element capture, disc pack bolt holes for diaphragm-style connections, or gear hub teeth for gear coupling engagement with a mating sleeve.
REXNORD coupling hubs are manufactured from forged steel, cast steel, or ductile iron, with hubs for corrosive service available in stainless steel. The hub bore is machined to H7 tolerance, the keyway to P9, and each hub is mill-balanced as a minimum standard, with dynamic balancing available for high-speed applications.
Our REXNORD replacement coupling hubs are manufactured to the original REXNORD hub dimensions, engagement profiles, and bore configurations. Hubs can be supplied with custom bore and keyway dimensions to match existing shaft sizes, eliminating on-site machining at installation.
