What the part does — The suction chamber (also called the inlet housing or suction casing) is the inlet section of a progressive cavity pump where the pumped medium first enters the pump. It connects to the suction flange or pipe, directs the product toward the rotor and stator cavity, and in many designs houses the drive-shaft coupling area between the gear joint and the rotor. A correctly made suction chamber helps the medium enter smoothly and supports the front of the pumping element.

How a replacement is produced — For a made-to-order or replacement suction chamber supplied to suit a NETZSCH-type pump, the typical workflow is:

1. Confirm the duty — collect the pump model / size, the medium, temperature, and the suction flange size and rating.
2. Review the existing part — record the connection dimensions, bore, sealing faces, and any internal features where available.
3. Select the material — cast iron for general duty, stainless steel or duplex for corrosive or abrasive service, chosen by the medium.
4. Casting or machining — the body is cast and then CNC machined for the flange faces, bore, and sealing surfaces.
5. Inspection — dimensions, surface finish, and (where the design calls for it) a pressure or leak check are verified before dispatch.
6. Documentation — a material certificate and inspection record are packed with the part where required.

• Small housing — individually wrapped and packed into a paper carton with cushioning.
• Larger casting — packed in a plywood or wooden crate suitable for sea freight, with internal fixing to protect the machined faces.
• Flanges and bolts — bagged and placed with the housing or carton as required.
