SEEPEX Suction Housing (also called the inlet casing, suction end cover, or pump inlet housing) is the component mounted at the suction end of a SEEPEX progressive cavity pump. It connects the incoming piping to the pump and directs the fluid into the first cavity of the rotor-stator pumping element.
The suction housing is responsible for guiding fluid into the suction-side open cavity of the stator with minimal flow restriction and turbulence. It also provides the mechanical mounting for the rotor shaft bearing, contains the suction-side mechanical seal or lip seal, incorporates an access port for pump priming, and creates the alignment interface between the pump drive end and the stator. In many SEEPEX configurations, the suction housing also supports the suction-side rotor shaft bushing.
SEEPEX suction housings are manufactured in several configurations: standard design with front bearing support for close-coupled motor mounting, foot-mounted suction housing for frame-supported pumps, sanitary suction housing for food/pharma hygienic service, and jacketed suction housing for heat-sensitive or high-viscosity fluids requiring heating at the pump inlet.
Our SEEPEX replacement suction housings are produced from certified castings or CNC-machined from bar stock, with original geometry, flange drilling, bearing bore, and seal chamber dimensions verified to specification.
