Provide your pump model and diaphragm specifications — our team will assess compatibility and come back with a detailed technical proposal.
Our brand delivers complete technical solutions within the fluid machinery and engineering sectors. Through our range of specialized technologies and product brands, we equip our clients with high-level technical advisory, commercial support, and integrated product solutions — covering pumps, frequency converters, servo drives, PLC-HMI, industrial control cabinets, motors, mechanical seals and assemblies, couplings, gearboxes, and turnkey engineering services (overseas on-site 3D scanning reverse molding of pump replacement parts and equipment debugging by our engineers deployed overseas).
SANDPIPER Diaphragm is the flexible membrane that separates the compressed air chamber from the fluid chamber in an air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump. Two diaphragms are connected by a common shaft. As compressed air is alternately directed to each diaphragm chamber, the diaphragms flex back and forth, creating the pumping action that draws fluid into and expels fluid from the pump chambers.
The diaphragm is the highest-wearing component in an AODD pump because it is subjected to continuous flexing, pressure cycling, and chemical contact with the pumped fluid on the fluid side. A diaphragm failure typically results in fluid leaking into the air side of the pump, air bubbling into the fluid, or complete pumping failure.
SANDPIPER replacement diaphragms are available in a range of materials to handle different fluid chemistries, temperatures, and flex life requirements: elastomeric diaphragms (rubber or thermoplastic) and PTFE diaphragm designs with or without a back-up diaphragm. Most SANDPIPER pump models use multi-layer elastomer diaphragms or a PTFE-faced diaphragm with an elastomer backer.
Our SANDPIPER replacement diaphragms are manufactured using precision compression molding or thermoforming, cured to the specified durometer hardness, and dimensionally verified for bolt hole pattern, diaphragm OD, and flex zone thickness.
