Our self-developed brand was founded to serve the fluid machinery and engineering sector with comprehensive technical solutions. Our ecosystem of proprietary technologies and product brands offers clients high-caliber technical consultation, sales support, and comprehensive product solutions — including pumps, variable frequency converters, servo drives, PLC-HMI, control cabinets, motors, mechanical seals and assemblies, couplings, gearboxes, and full-scope engineering services (overseas on-site 3D scanning reverse molding of pump replacement parts and equipment debugging by our engineers deployed internationally).
NETZSCH Suction Housing (also called the suction casing, suction shell, or inlet casing) is the pressure-containing component at the inlet side of a rotary positive displacement pump that receives the pumped fluid from the suction pipe and directs it into the pumping element. In NETZSCH Nemo, Tornado, and Progressing Cavity pump series, the suction housing forms the suction-side pressure boundary, houses the suction joint and inlet flange, and provides the seal interface for the drive-end stuffing box or mechanical seal.
For eccentric screw pumps (NEMO series), the suction housing features a rectangular or circular inlet port sized to the pump capacity, with a Suction Cover that allows rotor and stator access without disturbing the suction piping. For lobe and multi-twist pumps (Tornado series), the suction housing incorporates the inlet port, bearing housing interface, and seal chamber in an integrated casting. The suction housing must be designed to minimize inlet losses and maintain adequate NPSH to prevent cavitation at the pump inlet.
NETZSCH suction housings are manufactured in grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, and duplex stainless depending on the fluid service. Surface treatments include internal epoxy coating for corrosion protection, rubber lining for abrasive or erosive fluids, and external primer and finish paint.
Our NETZSCH replacement suction housings are produced using FARO 3D scanning or OEM drawings, precision-cast and CNC-machined on all critical sealing and mounting interfaces, and hydrostatically tested before dispatch.
