Through our ecosystem of specialized technologies and product brands, we provide clients with high-level technical advisory, commercial support, and integrated product solutions — including pumps, variable frequency converters, servo drives, PLC-HMI interfaces, industrial control cabinets, motors, mechanical seals and assemblies, couplings, gearboxes, and turnkey engineering services (overseas on-site 3D scanning reverse molding for pump replacement parts and equipment debugging by our dispatched engineers abroad).
NETZSCH Rotor is the single-helix rotating element of a progressing cavity pump (PCP). The rotor's external single-helix profile fits inside the double-helix elastomer liner of the stator, creating a series of sealed cavities that progress axially from the suction end to the discharge end as the rotor turns. Each rotor revolution advances one cavity length, producing a fixed volume of discharge flow proportional to rotational speed.
The rotor for NETZSCH NEMO, Tornado, and progressing cavity pump series is available in a wide range of materials to match the fluid service. Common rotor materials include chrome steel (hard chrome plated), stainless steel (304, 316L), precipitation-hardening stainless (17-4PH), duplex stainless, and high-chrome white iron or Hastelloy for severe service. The rotor surface is typically hard chrome plated or coated with tungsten carbide, Stellite, or ceramic coating to resist abrasive wear from solids in the pumped fluid.
Each NETZSCH rotor has a defined geometry defined by the pump size code: rotor diameter, helix pitch (the axial distance per half rotation), number of heads, and the direction of rotation (right-hand or left-hand helix). The rotor is mounted on the pump shaft by a key and locknut, or by a spline connection for larger pump sizes.
Our NETZSCH replacement rotors are precision-machined from certified bar or forgings, dynamically balanced, and surface-treated for the specified fluid service, with full dimensional and material certification.
