  2. Hub Rough Machining — Hub blank turned to overall dimensions on CNC lathe; bore rough-bored and faced; keyway slot milled or broached
  3. Heat Treatment (Gear Hubs) — Gas carburizing or induction hardening of gear tooth surfaces to 58–62 HRC; core hardness maintained at 30–40 HRC for toughness
  4. Hub Finish Machining — Bore finish-bored to H7 tolerance; flange face and hub OD finish-turned; keyway fit verified with gauge
  5. Elastomer Element Molding — Pin bushes and elastic sleeves compression-molded or injection-molded; post-cure cycle to stabilize elastomer properties
  6. Coupling Assembly — Hubs, flex elements, and fasteners assembled on alignment fixture; bolt torque and axial gap verified

  2. Coupling Series Preference — Elastic pin (ZL/HL), drum gear (CL/GICL), rigid flange (YL), or spring plate (JM/JZM)
  3. Shaft Diameters — Motor shaft diameter and pump shaft diameter in mm; specify if inch
  4. Keyway Standard — GB/T metric (Chinese standard) or DIN metric; confirm keyway width and depth for each bore
  5. Bush Material — NBR (standard), polyurethane, or FKM
  6. Quantity & Delivery — Single pair or multiple couplings; 10–20 days deposit to dispatch for standard sizes

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between a WUXI TRUMY elastic pin coupling and a jaw coupling used in imported pumps?

A: The elastic pin coupling uses multiple steel pins with elastomer bushes that flex in shear to accommodate misalignment and absorb vibration. A jaw coupling uses a single elastomer spider compressed between hub jaws. The elastic pin coupling generally offers higher torque capacity for its size and better vibration damping across a wider frequency range. Elastic pin couplings are the most common type for Chinese standard centrifugal pumps, whereas jaw couplings are more common in European and American pump brands.

Q2: Can a WUXI TRUMY coupling be used as a direct replacement for a imported brand coupling on an existing pump?

A: This depends on the shaft diameters, space envelope, and torque requirement. If the bore range, hub OD, and overall length are compatible, a WUXI TRUMY coupling can replace an imported coupling. However, the flex element type and misalignment capacity will differ. We recommend sending the original coupling dimensions (hub OD, overall length, shaft bores, and keyway sizes) so we can identify the closest WUXI TRUMY equivalent.

Q3: Do you supply the complete coupling assembly or individual parts separately?

A: Both options are available. We can supply a complete coupling assembly (two hubs plus flex elements and fasteners, balanced and ready to install), or individual components: hubs only (for customers who already have flex elements), replacement elastomer bush sets, or replacement pin sets. Specify which arrangement you need at order time.
